Stylistically similar (windows, front door overhang, roof, ...) to our house before the renovation :) I also like it. 5 rooms would be tight for us, but that is individual. We have the "problem" with the colors more in the outdoor area with the terrace railing :D The windows are now in RAL 9010 wood structure. Do you happen to have a picture of the house where the exterior plaster is more clearly visible? Ours is supposed to get a new coat of paint this year at the latest next year. I would like to change the plaster in the process.

On the topic of household accounting:
It is important to categorize expenses. Otherwise, you won't recognize any pattern in your spending, and optimization opportunities will be overlooked.
(By the way, I find the discussion about nails costing 50 euros pointless again. Yes, it's about principle. No: everyone should still be allowed a small luxury like that even after buying a house! As long as they restrict themselves otherwise. The forum is always too harsh and acts as if you have to give up EVERYTHING when you have to watch your money.)

Because with the receipts you can clearly identify the individual items and possibly mark them as unnecessary. There is a difference between having just €100 supermarket as an item or being able to detail the €100. This way, senselessly purchased stuff can be recognized and possibly eliminated. I don't really do it this way either, but I only have to manage a relaxed 20%/month repayment cold. In this case, however, it is already over 30% + incidental costs + maintenance. You have to take a closer look then.

The rate itself is not really the problem – the absolutely remaining balance is what makes the difference here. But I’m more relaxed about it now – the woman has a good job as a nurse, and the 30% part-time can be increased if necessary. The extra €500, which would make things easier, are therefore theoretically feasible, as are childcare and family.

I agree. The house should bring more quality of life, not less in the end. If you argue about 50 euros for the nail designer, the household harmony is quickly disturbed. Everyone has to plan a little “pocket money” for their own preferences, and no one should come and question that, no matter what it is.

I haven’t discovered that much optimization potential in my household budget. If I took bread from home every day instead of getting something at Nordsee, the Thai snack bar, or the sushi place during lunch break, maybe I could save another 60/70 euros, but after 2 weeks at the latest, I would be fed up with all that bread.
