Good offer for a young family? Buy yes or no

Sounds like good news for you at first :) However, I would advise you to leave out the basement. I don’t know how big the financial boost is, but with the basement we’re approaching 500k including all construction costs, landscaping, kitchen... without the land. Then you would have the same financial pressure as with the house you didn’t buy. And the land still needs to be added. How much do the 500sqm cost? And we also had this misconception that "for that price I might as well build new." But everything is just too expensive for that. Even if it’s a friend, the materials alone cost so much and no friend gives those away for free. Well, I just want to say, be careful. Better build smaller and don’t overextend yourselves.

No, we’ll see what will be possible. We have lots of builders in our circle of friends and family, including a building materials company ^^ But we’ll take a relaxed look next week at what we’ll come up with.
