First of all, thanks again for the input, etc. I have taken the time until Sunday to think it over. I also have an appointment at the Sparkasse on Thursday. Just to have a look.

It's mainly about becoming aware of it. After that, you can always decide whether to continue doing it that way. We certainly don't all live in a monastery.
It is often also the case that you do things differently with a house. Maybe you make the pizza yourself with the kids because you have a nice kitchen or simply because it's more fun there.
No one wants to talk you out of anything, but this way you can also see it realistically, you AND your wife.
Fulfilling every wish of the kids can soon backfire, as the desires grow and children don't know the word no.
Don't hesitate too long. After a verbal agreement, we were suddenly canceled out of the blue, which is why we're building now. Maybe someone else heard and offered 20k more and then bam.

If you are aware of your wasteful lifestyle, you can influence yourself whether it works or not. Best to start immediately.

How big is it? It looks very small.

A nice place ... just for the regulars' table!

I would love to live there too! :) So close to the mountains ...

Fortunately, I have gotten it under control. The switch from being single to a homeowner with a family has changed a lot. Today I have to save a bit longer for the next watch :D

What kind of games?
I have also spent several thousand euros on my PC. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been used very often lately. Now I am considering switching to the PS5.

Overall, I would say the house is very reasonably priced for the area. Here it would certainly be significantly cheaper. However – as mentioned earlier – 4k € or even 4.5k € goes pretty fast with a family. Also keep in mind that you really need to build up reserves (heating, etc.). Unless you really have the inheritance secured!

All I can say is: owning your own house is really something nice!

But the guesses with Bad Tölz were way off. That is almost Swabia then, and there you also learn to live frugally ;)

As soon as the reserves for the car and heating are built up, you can also recklessly spend money on the hobby again. No problem.

Everything always has to settle in the new house first, then you see what is left over. Until then, take it a bit easier. It will work out. The PC will last a few years now ;)
