My last post, because I really don’t want to anymore: think about what kind of kitchen you want and not how to fit the old kitchen in there.

Again: ergonomically, a two-line kitchen with about 120cm distance is best. You are four people, so the kitchen should not only allow for show cooking, but real cooking has to be possible. You don’t have unlimited square meters available (nordlys lives on a similar amount of square meters as two – that’s a different number than for four).

So think NOW about how the kitchen should be, what requirements you have, and what is important to you. If you want the dance floor planned at the beginning, do it – I will keep quiet and not point out the lack of storage anymore.

The statement: I’ve now drawn in our current kitchen is simply not helpful.

Topic Kitchen:
we simply cannot get excited about the 2-liner

- it will be an open / semi-open kitchen (depending on the statement of the structural engineer/architect whether a beam still needs to be installed)
- width of the kitchen currently kept 'flexible' from 3.00m to 3.50m (this will be finalized with the architect)
- kitchen type: L-shape with peninsula
- freezer will go into the utility room
- this allows us to roughly plan for water connections and electricity

Can you please elaborate your thought? I don’t see the benefit.
Either shock ventilation or automatic circulation through controlled residential ventilation

We are building monolithic (36.5cm Ytong)
Do you have experience or reference posts where window seating areas were planned?

Here the following questions arise for me:
- Light flooding wide windows vs. patio door
- Additional costs regarding shading elements
- Burglary security
- Lost storage space due to walking area

Otherwise, we are happy to receive suggestions regarding bathroom planning.

Best regards
M

In this final plan, the distance between the sink=main work line and the cooking island appears very large, about 150 cm or so. I personally find that way too much.

In the guest WC, I would place the toilet and washbasin next to each other on the left wall.

According to the tape measure, however, it is only 1m distance. In the first sketch, it should be 90cm. Peninsula planned with 180 width.

If the distance between the sink row/peninsula according to your measuring device should only be 100 cm, then the kitchen is also not 400 cm long ... Measure properly, it's not about the terrace door there, but about the distance between the kitchen furniture. I would have also estimated the peninsula width to be 180 cm.

The kitchen is 4m deep and ~3.5m wide. 180+100+60 (~340)
