I have drawn our current kitchen as accurately as possible (without wall cabinets and additional shelves). The dimensions of about 3x4m (width x depth) still seem to me a good compromise; narrower would feel too 'tubular' or the entire room of 240/20m width would look like an appendage to the living room.

If we decide on an open U-shaped kitchen, the walking/turning path would be about 160cm, which is probably still acceptable or should not be too bad due to the ergonomic arrangement of the "workstations."

By "solution with the peninsula," are you referring to your drawn variant 2?

KI Forum would be the next point of contact for us.

Thank you.

One question regarding space-saving stairs: what maximum incline angle should they have to still be comfortably used with full hands?

Now there is a table in the kitchen again after all.

Nice plan. Leave it as is and build.

Good morning, please read carefully! I have drawn in our current original kitchen to get a sense of the room using a practical example and can therefore say that I do not want to set the width below 3m.

do you also have a space-saving staircase? If yes, what inclination and what are the dimensions. We need about 2.60m (see #168)

Currently, it is an L with a table, which is not the same as a 2-liner without a table ... 3m is simply too much.

Kitchen would come to us EXACTLY LIKE THAT. Then you don’t have to bring every sausage to the plate or the quick hot cup to the living room table. You can also sit down in work pants and drink a beer with dirty hands. Staircase. In my opinion, the plan has a normal staircase. In L shape. We have U. Don’t take a space-saving staircase. It’s unnecessary with the space you have. A normal staircase simply allows comfortable walking, even with a chair under your arm or a box in front of your belly. K..
