I think we don’t need to argue about the size of the toilet bowl now, do we? It’s fine. But it usually makes more sense to place the toilet and sink next to each other so you don’t have to zigzag around to the shower in the guest bathroom.

I think the project has gradually developed into something acceptable. Ok, the entrance is narrow and not great. But it’s still manageable. I would put a door between the living room and the entrance. There are two reasons for this: 1. it creates a cozier atmosphere in the living area and 2. it shields the toilet users from the living quarters. You want a quiet place where you don’t feel overheard.
I’m wondering whether the toilet and utility room could be swapped, but I suspect you’re not allowed to build over the pipes? Otherwise, of course, it’s nicer to have a window in the toilet – also for guests. The heater, on the other hand, doesn’t need any light.
I also miss windows on the north side. Two need to go in there (children’s room + bedroom) and the one behind the bed can then be removed.
I wouldn’t put the bathtub in front of the window. The window has to be easily accessible since it’s used frequently. I would prefer a classic arrangement.

The parameter in particular is not the point. Rather, there was repeatedly the justified criticism that symbols in floor plans are only worth as much as they realistically represent the space they require. I hoped (probably in vain) that this would finally be made clear, at least illustrated by the improbability of a fundamentally different anatomy of guests and residents. But I probably also expressed myself unclearly; instead of "wide-" I should have said "short-arsed"—because the guest toilet (the bowl, not the room) is short in relation to its width (and absolutely) to kurz.

: just naming a number isn’t possible for you either? you also write like 30,000 posts and as a long-time member you spend more time discussing something instead of arguing purposefully. Where is your "you need 1.40m" distance or something? 3 pages about the (around the) toilet and all for nothing ^^

PS: all devices are original size. that means the exercise bikes/cross trainers also have original scale. .. I simply planned the toilet including it now at 75cm x 45cm (I measured that at my place and it is enough)

: thanks for the objective criticism and suggestions. unfortunately I’m no longer at the PC, but my current floor plan incorporates parts of your thoughts. children’s room smaller (still big enough) and children’s room swapped with bedroom. that gives more space for the kitchen. living room will be a bit smaller, that doesn’t hurt.

Why should I even give a number, what is supposed to be "goal-oriented" about that? - just take the toilet from the bathroom - it is properly dimensioned there - and copy & paste it into the guest WC, then it will fit there too. Regarding the exercise bikes, your own photographic evidence (in the form of the 3D floor plan with correctly dimensioned sofa, but without exercise bikes) shows that those things do NOT fit there. In that respect, I would almost be wrong, because I meant that they only fit there when stored and they just lack the space to be set up with the necessary clearance for use. But that’s what I meant with the 2D plan as well (with the significant deviation responsible for that, the sofa being drawn too small) – so one more argument that you shouldn’t draw dollhouse furniture in floor plans.

So once again: 1. Dimensions of placeholders should be correct # 2. A toilet is a toilet – if it has different dimensions in the bathroom and the WC, probably only one of them is right # 3. "Only fools reduce sums" also works the other way around: the sum of the correctly measured exercise bike, omitted clearance space, and too small sofa cannot be correct # 0. Depictions in 2D of a variant different from 3D confuse (apparently even you yourself).

By the way: 30,000 read posts are not exactly counted, but also not "felt" – that would be four times as many as I myself have written here, so rather a cautious estimate.

A stove is basically also a fireplace. Everything within a 70cm radius will char, even home trainers. Why? An island is not dependent on this wall. Yes, that’s what I thought too. Considering the other thread: it keeps getting worse. The highlight was the bypass of the whole house to the entrance. Now it is a guest WC without a window (not that a compact bungalow often allows otherwise, but with this narrow design, that is really an art). But at second glance (mobile users) you can see that one child is allowed to cuddle at the living room wall, while the bedroom had to give up some closet space for that. And I honestly ask myself: for what? What is better now than the first designs? For me, everything gets worse, the highlight is of course something like this: Doesn’t something like that fit in the outbuilding?

In the last post #51, as written, corrected, all furniture is in the original dimensions as they currently stand with us. I will not continue to address off-topic issues.
