After consultation with the general contractor and my wife regarding practicability and possible costs, we will not implement the original plan as is. That means replanning.

- The access over 40m is already costly, so we plan the entrance (top plan) to the west, where the access also takes place

- My wife would like to have a (separated) kitchen in order to be able to cook in peace.

- The fireplace as a planned room divider will be replaced by a Swedish stove

Ultimately, the template from "Kagenbau Lifetime" served me for the current floor plan draft.

Current furniture in original size. Arrangement partly arbitrary.

I would even tend to increase the length from 16m to 17m if this should appear advantageous.

Please provide feedback.

You mean now, not having the entrance around the house?

That's what we've been saying all along. But why re-plan because of that? It was planned that way at first. -> Last thread!

I thought you wanted to build with Town & Country and therefore took the floor plan as a template??? ops:

Well, that comes quite spontaneously... Didn't you talk to each other during the planning weeks? Doesn't she contribute to the planning? Do you know nothing about her wishes?

Which fireplace????

: we still want to build with Town & Country. My preliminary meeting on Monday was very pleasant. I only used the floor plan from Kagebau as a basis, the external dimensions of the Town & Country bungalow will be maintained.

And women do tend to change their minds quite often .
By the way, the information about the fireplace is in the original post, but it doesn’t matter, now it’s gone.

why isn't the old one simply mirrored. The kitchen is easy to separate after all

: I already had on page 2:

The only criticism of the mirrored version was that the living room is used as a double bedroom.

Unfortunately, the dimensions are not indicated, but purely visually I would say that both dining tables and their seating are well spaced and with the drawn chair distances only suitable for residents up to clothing size 36.

No, it doesn't. Two extremes should be avoided in floor plans, namely the square and the bar shapes. In this sense, more depth might be better here than more width. A third mistake that should be avoided is practiced here by you: namely the straight outer edges. On the one hand, it is good to save on decorative core as frills. On the other hand, straight-running outer walls in dogmatic dosage are equally unfavorable and lead, just like the "square by principle," to force rooms into individually unfavorable width-depth ratios, just to achieve a "clear rectangle" overall. Try dimensioning all rooms "optimally" regardless of whether their outer walls then lie "in line."

Ordering an Opel precisely from Ford, I still haven't understood the point.
