A little bit. Although most of it will already happen in the show area.
Unfortunately, my wife uses the troublemakers quite excessively... for a "fluff" in the evening, the MUM runs at full speed for 15 minutes, so it doesn't need a connoisseur like me to want to keep it out. That’s almost annoying even with the currently closed kitchen behind the door :D
Cooking smells that arise during longer processes also don't necessarily suffer if they don't have to make their way over 2 floors.
I would probably replace a pure pantry next to the kitchen with more storage space in tall cabinets, as these usually have a better ratio of required floor space including access etc. to created storage space.
