Experiences with brine heat pump

An air heat pump needs about 30% more electricity per year, verifiable and based on the experience of my acquaintances. That means instead of 700 euros per year, then 900-1000 euros. That is a maximum of 300 more per year.

The drilling would have cost me 15,000 plus installation of pipes 20,000. Static payback calculation 66 years.

Forget it. That is why there are very few brine heat pumps. I think the technology is great.

However, you also need the right property for a trench collector. Many trees and shrubs do not grow above it, and the soil often moves significantly. It basically only works with a large lawn area. And I estimate that with renting an excavator and everything, €2000 is tight (you need material and professional connections!), unless you happen to have contacts, but that is not the general case.
