NHN? What is that?
I think it’s good that this is being considered. In some areas, we are already beyond 12 o’clock, not before.
But I also don’t believe that he will ever inherit. Considering offspring, everyone should keep an eye on climate change and the future of the Earth, but your retirement will consume quite a bit – whether the house is liquidated for care or the money needed for renovation is spent on care – the house will be squandered one way or another.
But 200€ every month – that’s no small matter for me. And when some people here talk about their servers, which also waste a lot of energy, that makes me a bit queasy in the stomach from the running costs. That should also be told to those who want to build a single-family house quickly and with heavy EL, but currently come from a warm rent of 700€.
NHN is Normalnull (standard sea level). We are currently only 3 meters above it. If we don’t stop wasting CO2 like candy at Carnival, the Frisian house will drown before a child OR grandchild could inherit it. ;) And yes, I know there are dikes. But walling us in 2 meters high and ignoring that humanity has a problem is not my thing. ;)
The 200€ per month we basically already had before. Electricity + gas together were about 260€ for rent recently, I believe. Therefore, with our current installment of 198€, we are even cheaper than before. However, I hope we can bring that down after the first year. I’m still not quite sure if some component of the heat pump is broken or damaged and that’s why it consumes so much electricity. The exhaust fan worked half-decently for a while, the unit used a ton of energy, and then at some point it was completely broken and got replaced.
Now, with the (hopefully) repaired heat pump, we currently consume about 25 kWh per day. Of that, roughly 12 kWh go to household electricity and the rest (12-13) to the heat pump. We don’t know exactly, but in the old house we had about 12 kWh average electricity per day recently.
