Our "base load" is about 180W with the controlled residential ventilation running. Our Hoval FR301 requires 180W at 100%, which is very rarely used.
Annual electricity consumption is just under 4100kWh, of which 1500kWh is self-produced and directly consumed via photovoltaics. 9600kWh fed into the grid from a 9.74kWp system. The air-water heat pump consumed 2200kWh for heating and hot water. KfW40 house with 143m² living area + basement.
For me, a new building without controlled residential ventilation is no longer up to date. Just as much as a wood stove has no place in a well-insulated new building, in my opinion. And a photovoltaic system pays for itself, the only thing in the house that ever amortizes.
In summer you still have to ventilate, and controlled residential ventilation works the other way around in summer. This way you can cool the hot outside air with the cooler inside air when bringing it into the house. Of course, you can also only ventilate at night and keep everything closed during the day.

In summer controlled residential ventilation proves to be useless, I have already had to learn that. But in Germany we only have 3-4 months of summer. The rest of the year I adore this simple machine.
