Electricity consumption at home, what is your consumption?

The consumptions listed here are absolutely fine. Over the last 60 days, we have been at ~12kWh and in December alone at now ~15kWh per day. In the end, that comes to something around 550-600€ per year, and something also comes from the photovoltaic system. The heated area is 218m2.

That is by no means my intention either :) I just thought that there had been a clear(er) "progress" in this direction, i.e. a significant reduction in energy consumption, since among other things the houses are insulated so well. Somehow it feels like a few steps backward. I still remember how my father removed the old night storage heaters, which were also electrically operated (yes ... they contained asbestos). Now basically electricity is used for heating again, but with complex technology. Cars are also increasingly powered by it. All good as long as the electricity is truly green and the environmental balance of the entire technology is right. A lot of (house) technology means a higher probability of failures and thus costs. Maybe that is also too generalized. With photovoltaics, it will certainly be much more worthwhile once the house is "dry".

I would consider it immediately if it weren't for the CO2 tax starting in 2021!

In cars, the technology is also becoming more complex and thus more prone to issues. The model before the predecessor of my current one consumes about 2 liters less diesel per 100 km. In return, driving becomes more comfortable ...
THAT is technology!

A good heat pump gives you 3 free units of electricity for every 4 units used. With night storage heaters, you pay for all 4. So that's a big, huge difference. And e-cars are much more efficient in the city than combustion engines. Winter and highway, on the other hand, are absolutely unsuitable. So it depends on the intended use and the overall system.

I have white windows inside and outside, and the facade is the same. Mainly for cost reasons. To avoid being lynched by the village anti-boredom mob, I will paint green fake frames around the windows. Somehow matching our roof tiles. I don't have a plan yet how it will look, but I imagine it quite appealing.
