Electricity consumption at home, what is your consumption?

I mean, of course, I want to reduce the number of cycles in 24h so that the heat pump consumption goes down.

Is the heating circuit pump controlled by the heat pump? 8K temperature difference in the heating circuit at 0°C outdoor temperature is a bit much. 4.5K would be better. Which heat pump do you have anyway, is it a modulating heat pump? A separate thread would be more sensible to avoid distracting from the original topic.

It is an AI LWD70a, return flow controlled. The question is what can cause such a temperature difference? It is only present in heating mode. I have understood that a low temperature difference is desirable, meaning under 5 degrees. But what causes the temperature difference, no idea.

25kwh is not so bad at 0 degrees. However, I think just under 20 kwh should be possible.

I currently see the problem with the hydraulic balancing. You need to regulate the flow rate. That requires a lot of patience and trial and error.

The minimum flow rate of the heat pump is 1200 l/h. Nominally, it should be 1600 l/h. The system is designed to also heat the 2 basement rooms (3 heating circuits), which are currently cold because I don’t want to heat the remaining 38 sqm without underfloor heating along with the 32 sqm that have underfloor heating. Maybe this is where the problem lies?!

I also believe that if the basement were heated, then the ground floor wouldn’t be as warm. But if I heat the basement, the consumption increases, right?

@hydraulic balancing: I don’t know, the flow rates are not set that badly.

Currently, the flow rate without the basement is 1347 l/h; with the basement, the 1600 l/h should actually be reached.

But before I open the basement heating circuit, I will monitor the consumption and temperature with the new heating curve over the next 2 days.

Can you still increase the flow rate in the heating circuit? You should have a lower temperature difference at 0°C outdoor temperature. Can the heating circuit pump go harder?
