Why do you need more electricity in a house than in an apartment? Do you buy tons of new standby devices or do you cook three times a day including the oven at 250°C? New devices are always more efficient and you have LED lighting everywhere, ... ergo: more electricity consumption = more luxury Our luxury here is our pet Heat pump ~3000kWh/a is good depending on the requirements. Ours has 2800 kWh/a but with ventilation, hot water, underfloor heating. Without ventilation the consumption should be "lower".

Almost 4500 kW per year for 5 people, with one of them having their own household, cooking is done fresh daily but then together.

Devices on standby
Network switch
Router
Access point

2x TV, when it is running, it also consumes power
1 sat receiver

2x refrigerators with freezer compartment

Heater at the changing table.

Outdoor lighting with motion detector also turns on occasionally.

Charging phones and alone I was somewhere around 1500-1800 kW

Charging phones consumes about 3-5 kW per year. So these are definitely not the power guzzlers.

Don't be mistaken, 3 phones and a tablet charged every day, those are no longer cents per year but euros.

With the standby LED of the TV, one also didn't think much for a long time.

The same goes for the error of the actuators, we have 32 of them, each 1 watt.

Or the digital clock on the wall.

The PC in standby.

It adds up.
