I see it the same way. Sounds like a bit of a nerd and a bit of an enthusiast (as they say in the hardware sector).
Yes, why not?

I then don't understand why no photovoltaic system? You then have even more technology, but it "saves" energy.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m basically not opposed. Until just now, I thought the aging of the solar modules stood in the way of amortization. However, if there is a 10-year guarantee on consistent yield, that would be okay for me. But I really wouldn’t want to put that thing on the roof and have to replace it after 6 years and start all over again. Then I might as well have left it alone if the costs are the same. They’re not gone; you just pay in a different way. Caught :P But seriously, shortly before the Bitcoin rush, when I started crypto mining on my own and declared a power consumption of 20MW to the utility company, the police really did come by after a few months to check if something smelled fishy here.

Mining? Seriously?
That explains a lot. Then I would absolutely understand your setup.
What I would begrudge you, though, is that you were partly responsible for the rise in GPU prices in the meantime.
Jokes aside. If that's the case, very interesting, and then the consumption could potentially be offset by good returns.

The guarantee partly lasts up to 25 years. Then usually 80% of the yield is still guaranteed. I have even seen modules with 85-87% after 30 years.

I sold most of my coins shortly before the crash and still hold a few game coins. In December 2018, I deregistered the self-employment because the cow had been milked enough. I sold all the mining hardware and downgraded myself again. One can live well from it. Regarding the accusations about the GPU prices, I prefer to remain silent.
