This hood was recommended to us by the kitchen fitter and is also one of the few that is actually 80cm wide

My question would be how strong or how much air it should at least draw so that it is sufficient for us and filters enough air in the open house

I can only recommend not to save money on the hood – that’s why I also suggested possibly saving on the countertop. In my opinion, this is extremely neglected when buying a kitchen and I often hear in private: "My hood is just crap..."

The kitchen studio wants to sell you Siemens because that has the highest margin there. I would look for a good extractor hood myself and suggest ordering that - of course he will do that.

1. With recirculation, the hood "only" achieves 469 cbm on the intensive setting (although the homepage does not state whether this considers an activated carbon filter - possibly even less then).
2. The device is from the rather lower price category and is therefore also low in terms of performance.
3. The 90 cm model doesn't offer much more either.
4. If performance is really important to you, then for example the Berbel BKH 90 GL-2 Glassline (the hood shield doesn't fog up while cooking like with the cheaper hoods) - but that costs around €2,500 in stores + €100 for the recirculation kit ==> almost no difference from a ducted hood.
