I would build the retaining wall about 30 cm higher and then create a 1 m wide raised bed. That would be sufficient as a safeguard for me. You should best ask your architect how he will cleverly execute it. if you made it flatter, the SM would be longer. ;) The roof overhang is generous. If the budget allows, why not. Why three exits are needed in the basement is not clear to me. Fixed glazing is considerably cheaper; I would have little interest in spending money for aesthetics there. You even have 6 doors. o_O I am curious about the architect's cost estimate.

You see, with the Juno there is at least one variant where the OG is almost identical to the one I quickly adjusted to your size.

What’s not clear about that?

Uh, SM? I hope you mean retaining wall? ;) Yeah, it would be longer then – with natural stones or boulders (wow, seriously?), that would actually be an advantage. But I’ll believe it when I see it.

Unfortunately, that is not everything 8 steps upwards mean around 8x18 = approximately 144 cm. That means the landing is already about 144 cm above the floor level of the ground floor. However, the knee wall should only be just over 100 cm. The landing itself is overall below the 2 m line in the roof area.. Depending on the floor heights, etc., it can become quite headroom-concerning on the roughly 30 to 50 cm upper stair depth on the plan, i.e., the outer walking path. To assess this precisely, a sectional drawing is needed.

I've been saying that for a long time. No cross-section, no further statement. I once traced the cross-section. I come to about 1.40 m knee wall.

I also once determined how it would be if you set the ground floor at 500 m. Then, without a basement but with an underground floor and ground floor, you still have plenty of space in the roof. See box at 2.0 m and 2.5 m.

I think it should work with the roof window.

With the knee wall of about 1.4m, it also works like that. But a roof window also has something. I better wait for the architect’s version and his calculation. In my opinion, we are building a castle in the air here anyway. I’m off for 10 days now.
