A knee wall of 140 would definitely be better compared to about 100 cm. However, with a poor knee wall, the roof window would then also have to extend over almost the entire width of the stairwell opening.

A section would be good; the planner should also do that to be sure the stairs will work.

How tall are you all?

Hello Katja, I can understand that and I think you have recognized the strengths and weaknesses. The only question is: what to do? We are already positively inclined to get it done very well. The alternative to bring in a "second" is difficult for me or, in my assessment, not possible in this constellation. Well, the staircase is fundamentally different, that influences all floors and also upstairs in the hallway and rooms. Or not? Attached is the staircase and hallway area configured somewhat from the Juno but already reproduced.

Yes, the staircase is somewhat different. However, the difference in the arrangement of the rooms is rather small in this case.

Yes, the problem was probably more with the staircase for the other floors as well. Additionally, the rooms in the NE become smaller.

Good evening everyone,

we received the cost breakdown today. As expected, we have to stretch a bit more than thought, but we are optimistic that the planning can continue and that we can start construction in late summer. Since you are probably very interested: the figure on paper is 585k. To still manage this compared to the originally planned budget, we will both contribute more equity and also need to borrow more money. We did some calculations and I am confident that we can approach it as planned without having to omit the garage or similar. A detailed coordination with the architect regarding the cost breakdown will follow. Possibly we will find further meaningful own contributions that can financially relieve us. I hope to continue receiving such great support from you; you are welcome to review the current planning status again and share your comments, etc. If there are any further questions or points of discussion, please feel free to bring them up.

Many greetings
