Just try it without and secure yourself with a well-positioned socket for an infrared panel (ceiling?) in case it is not comfortable after all.

Infrared panel is also a good idea. As I said .. I would start with the good kitchen planning and then consider the options.

Is the hallway heated and is the heating in the living room on the wall towards the kitchen? Then I would probably take the risk..

But I don't think an IR panel is a good idea. If it really becomes necessary, it will be expensive and you would prefer another solution. A protection should be water-based and it shouldn't cost much. To quickly warm up using electricity, the oven is also sufficient.

: Why? Do they not heat the room sufficiently or are they too expensive to maintain? We just found it a good alternative since we can position the fridge in a free corner where a radiator would otherwise have to go. Therefore, we have not considered a towel radiator so far, as it would take up space again.

@ The heating in the living room is not directly on the wall to the kitchen, only the heating in the hallway adjoins there. But I will also talk to my heating engineer to see what he thinks. I just wanted to get some initial impressions and opinions from you.

Do that. The heaters in the other rooms should be appropriately sized to also heat the kitchen. Otherwise, I don't think the baseboard solution is bad, even if it sounds a bit outdated.
