Old custom??? Are robot mops actually better if I shouldn't lay down a carpet? It could surely also go into the bathroom and would also be pleasantly quiet?

Hahaha The Philips is not a robot, similar to a vacuum cleaner that is operated by hand. Yesterday my Philips Aqua Trio pro arrived, I was totally euphoric and started right away. But I am not that enthusiastic yet, I think it is due to my handling. I had to refill the water tank 3 times for 40sqm. In the damp state, you could only see the rollers where I had passed over. But they were completely gone after drying. We have porcelain stoneware tiles in the hallway and with the mop you could always see the grooves from the mop cloth, especially when the light shone directly on it. I didn’t have this ugly problem with the Philips. I will test it a few more times until I get the hang of it. The mopping result is definitely incredibly good. , Is it also "complicated" with your Aqua Trio to pull it behind you so that only the rear rollers touch the floor? I have the problem that when I put it in the parking position and then want to push it behind me, I can only do this if I slightly lift it with my hand from underneath because otherwise it goes into the "mop position." How do you handle it when you want to carry it over a threshold? The manual says to move it back and forth briefly while switched off but for me it leaves a small "puddle."

Are you not that enthusiastic because of the refilling? How long does the refilling take, can the tank be easily removed quickly? Does the mop stand on its own if you step away briefly or how do you handle that?

Best regards Sabine

No, not because of refilling. That’s not a big deal, just remove the container, open it and fill it with water. When I refill the container, I immediately empty the dirt container.
In terms of handling, it takes some getting used to; with my vacuum cleaner I can go back and forth and all over the place, which you can’t do with the Philips. The handling reminds me of the Vorwerk one that people used to push on you at the door xx years ago.

The Philips stands on its own. It "only works" if you hold the handle pressed.
What also takes some getting used to is the cable; the manual says not to run over the cable etc., but when you push the Philips forward, the cable is automatically in front as well. With a vacuum cleaner, you can just roll over it.

Yesterday I tried wrapping the cable around my shoulder. But I’m sure you just need the right technique and then it’s no problem.

I’ll test it in my basement in a moment.

What I think is great is that the mop rollers are clean and practically dry after cleaning (which only takes 15 seconds). You can also clean the dirty water container in the dishwasher.
And very importantly: unlike all other mop vacuum cleaners, the mop rollers rotate and don’t just swipe over the floor, so the floor is really clean afterwards.

My Basement / 2nd Report:
So, although our basement was underwater the other day and the day before yesterday I was busy just mopping the basement, I would say it wasn’t even this clean when I moved in.
The second time mopping with it, the technique works better and I only had to change the water once for the large basement, even though I went over many spots multiple times. The floor is slightly damp after mopping and dries very quickly, and although I walked over the mopped floor several times with my street shoes, there were no shoe prints.

Once you switch from a normal vacuum cleaner, it’s great. I’m glad I don’t have to carry buckets anymore and especially don’t have to wring out a mop anymore.
There is a small edge left, but since we have baseboards everywhere that also need to be wiped, you can just do the small edge right along with it.
