I can well imagine the thing with the 2 cats. Our cat is an outdoor cat, so she definitely loses quite a bit of fur outside. Indoors, she has her spots where her fur gets stuck. But the number of spots is quite manageable. Scratching post, carpeted floor in the hallway upstairs, chairs, etc. She barely loses any fur on the tiles downstairs. She used to respect her taboo zones (bedroom and kitchen) even with the doors open. Since moving into the house, unfortunately that no longer works, so I try to keep the rooms upstairs and the kitchen closed when we leave early in the morning.
I know about the help from the two-year-old . That’s why cleaning day is mainly when we are both home, so the child is occupied elsewhere. The extra free time is definitely not to be underestimated. On the other hand, there are so many things that can save time, and unfortunately not everything is possible (automatic vacuum cleaner, automatic lawn mower, controlled residential ventilation, automatic irrigation system, etc.)
