Basement made of watertight concrete - switch problem

So I thought about it again. Our basement will be poured from pure waterproof concrete. So no precast wall into which it is poured, therefore what Dirk said is also out of the question. Of course we will mostly use the interior walls, but that is not always possible, hence the question of how else to do it. The only thing I can think of is a pre-installation wall. But that takes away precious centimeters from the room again ;(. But I don’t think it will work any other way or someone has the solution

We also have living spaces in the "Keller" and did not install any pipes in the WU concrete. For us, all pipes were installed in partition walls made of brick. Otherwise, one possibility might be that you have the concrete walls plastered and then install the pipes "in the plaster"?

But you’re not allowed to do that – and then you still have to lower the boxes.

It is also possible to provide boxes in completely cast wall elements, but that is more complex and, of course, more expensive.

We also had the entire basement plastered and, of course, laid everything under the plaster in the interior walls.

I have a 3-gang surface-mounted box on one wall in the office, but the cables always run UP. In the large hobby room, there are two double sockets for the access point and in the workshop basement, a cable runs UP, where an access point channel is then placed over the workbench. Viewed this way, I was able to use the interior walls very well, and the few access point things on the concrete walls don’t bother because no cable is visible there.

Maybe also an alternative for you?

Thank you , I will also try to put as much as possible into interior walls, but I don't think it will be possible everywhere. I am not 100% happy with it, hence the idea of a drywall construction. But that also takes up space.

I definitely wouldn't do it just because of a few sockets - but it's up to you.

If you have no more than two Wu interior walls, you already have 3 of the corners "live." With a bit of planning for the setup, you might not need as many sockets on the other walls. If the cables also run under the screed, for example, for another corner socket set, it's just a few centimeters of cable and only a few surface-mounted sockets, and these also come in "nice" designs (so not just that gray basement damp-room look).
