Since Christmas, the Neato D85 has been working its way through the apartment here. Clear purchase recommendation. In my opinion, better value for money than the Vorwerk V200 (not tested).

Both should have been tested. I think the Neato has the better price, and the performance can be sufficient (just like not every car needs 200HP). In my opinion, however, the Vorwerk does not have a worse performance ratio when considering all adjustments. The Li-ion battery alone with larger capacity (longer suction time and longer lifespan) is already quite valuable. By the way, Vorwerk has set the software so that only about 2/3 of the initial battery capacity is used, which further increases the lifespan and delays the need for a battery replacement due to wear. Additionally, because there is no memory effect, charging is faster, and deep discharge does not have to be performed by the charging station. For us, the Vorwerk's battery charge in [Ecomodus] (it is quieter and still sufficient for us to pick up all dirt) is just enough to vacuum everything once, so recharging and a second run are not necessary (which would not be possible with a weaker battery). Vorwerk also has additional ultrasonic sensors at the front and on the tower bumper, which the Neato does not have, etc. By the way, there is also a longer warranty.

I just compared various robots again and found the iRobot 780 from Roomba. I hadn’t looked at it closely before. It has rubber lips and seems well suited for hard floors. It navigates similarly to the VR200 and is in the same price range. Sounds at least promising. Now I just have to make the second bot appealing to my husband. He is crazy about the Kobold.

Good morning,
after my wife also got annoyed by the constant vacuuming, we ordered a NAETO Botvac D85 from myRobotCenter over the weekend. We are eagerly awaiting the package

What actually causes the huge price difference? Currently, there is a Vileda vacuum robot for 79.99 at the discount store.

Read the reviews at this discount store. The Vileda device has a chaotic cleaning process, meaning it drives around wildly. It often seems to forget the corners of the rooms and other spots. In contrast, other areas are driven over multiple times and sometimes it even crashes hard against objects. I expect better results from the NAETO. Additionally, the suction power and the filter are supposed to be better.
