I'm curious when there will be a proper vacuum robot including decent mopping performance. It should technically be possible to properly heat the water from a container after vacuuming.

Tell me, have you also had such bad quality experiences with the Philips as can be read on the internet? It is supposed to have great performance but to be constantly defective.

Otherwise, I can well imagine the thing, although €430 is quite a hefty sum....

To really be able to judge that, we have had it for too short a time.

The fact is that you have to clean the brushes and the brush cover regularly, otherwise the device will block. If we keep that in mind, the thing purrs along.

For us, (in the short time) it has proven effective to wipe all the surfaces one after the other, then clean the device and put it away. Additionally, a "brush on a handle" was designed for the corners and edges. These are done first in every room.
For tiled rooms, a few drops of soap in the clean water increases the effect even more.

We are still satisfied.

We have the Vorwerk VR 100. The first device was probably a lemon and after a while was flawlessly replaced with a new replacement device. Although Vorwerk actually has a pretty good reputation and the device diligently works through minor obstacles, it is not suitable for more than superficial cleaning. Sometimes the device gets stuck on the high-pile carpet between the couch and carpet, sometimes it gets caught on the surrounding metal tube of a chair, sometimes it gets stuck on the pedestal of a table... well, the device has never fallen down (stairs, etc.). But we had previously bought a lawn mower robot from Husquarna and it works perfectly. So the expectations were probably too high... A garden might also be tidier than an apartment with small furniture that is constantly rearranged. By the way, the device also doesn’t manage well with large areas (>175sqm), it then can no longer find its charging station....

As Sylvia already wrote, the usage period is still too short to say anything.

We clean the brushes, the cover, and the water outlets after each use. Additionally, we work with two sets of brushes so that one set can dry properly.

The performance is still sensational! He has been in use every evening for a few days to sweep up sand and small stones from the “Terrassenurlaub“.
It is done quickly and very thoroughly.
Since then, I no longer have dusty paths in the living room/kitchen and hallway in the evenings.

I don’t want to have to read the whole thread now.

Requirements:
- 90m² apartment
- Biggest challenge are door thresholds (flat ones)
- Installed flooring is laminate, vinyl, carpet (possibly laminate instead of carpet), tiles in the bathroom (will the device work in the bathroom, keyword puddle?)
- Apartment has corners
- No pets
- Time programmable so the device works when I am at work
- Cleaning area is divided into living/dining room, hallway, bedroom + possibly bathroom
- Device height preferably rather flat, but furnishing is still in planning
- Maintenance should not be too high, I’m lazy and don’t want to have to do anything after every run of the device

It doesn’t have to be so clean that you can eat off the floor. However, there shouldn’t be any dust bunnies lying around.
I imagine the device vacuuming my apartment autonomously so I don’t have to vacuum anymore myself.

Price: no idea, basically don’t want to spend too much but if a good device meets the requirements and works perfectly I would be willing to spend some money for it.

What can you recommend?
