I have been back at work for two days and am glad that I don’t have to vacuum in the evening anymore. Everything is spotless! For us, the little guy is a relief.

However, it takes a bit of discipline regarding cables lying around (PS4 and the kids’ stuff), socks, and everything else one might drag through the apartment.
It works great after two phone charging cables fell victim to the little guy. The kids now don’t just pull the cables out of the sockets, they also put them away properly after the phone is charged.

We borrowed a VR200 as a loaner device from the VWerkladen today. We are supposed to return it on Monday. First experience: It sucks up quite a bit. But at first, it only wanted to vacuum the dining room and the chimney room. It ignores the others for now. But maybe it can only learn 2 rooms per day so as not to overwhelm its delicate memory. I will continue to report. If one moves in, it will probably be a "Krümelmonster".

The kobold does not save the rooms. It determines the areas to be vacuumed anew every day.
It is important not to make any significant changes while it is vacuuming.
That means no moving chairs or opening/closing doors in the area it is currently covering. That confuses it, in a way.

Yesterday, I forgot to keep the bathroom door closed. Unfortunately, I noticed too late that it had already been briefly in that room. So I closed the door when it was about to go in that direction again. After the fourth attempt (taking a run-up, stopping, turning off, taking a new run-up...) to enter the bathroom, I gave in. Five minutes later, it came out again and declared its tour complete.

At first, we rearranged or temporarily removed obstacles. The result: significantly longer vacuuming times, frequent recharging, and a confused kobold driving around.

Are these vacuum robots actually very widespread by now? I haven't really dealt with them until I read about it here now
