: Somehow this feels very familiar to me... In the first few weeks with our "Dobby" we definitely didn’t save any time on house cleaning because we were constantly watching what the little one was up to. We now also put our dining room chairs on the table before letting him loose, because otherwise exactly the same thing happens to you: He dashes straight under the table and gets caught in the u-shaped legs of our cantilever chairs...

We have normal chair legs and today vacuuming in this area went much better. I didn't have to free our Wall-E from under the table or pull him away from our trash cans. He also had problems with the latter yesterday. He constantly wanted to climb on them. Now a piece of magnetic tape is placed under the cans. We will only find out about time savings when we are back at work. The next two weeks are all about watching.

Sounds really funny, that thing

I'm curious to see if it really saves time or makes everything easier. Of course, I think we all know it can't replace a regular vacuum cleaner, but it's a good alternative for dust bunnies, etc.

Don't know if this is OT, but have you ever tested cordless vacuum cleaners (normal large ones)?

Yep, we have a Dyson DC45 as a supplement to our robot vacuum. We hang it centrally in the room on the wall under our stairs. This way you can quickly grab it if something has fallen or if you come inside with dirty shoes from outside. You also need it for the stairs. I just find it very practical that you can go from room to room with it without constantly fiddling with the cable.

Hello,

yes, in our all-inclusive package from Vorwerk, the small VC 100 cordless vacuum cleaner was also included.

We mainly use the little one for street dirt brought in at the entrance area, for ash pieces that fall when adding wood to the wood stove (after they have cooled down), and for spaces between furniture that are too narrow for the robot.

The cordless vacuum cleaner itself is really good, only the somewhat fiddly wall mount annoys me every time I want to pull the vacuum out - I am afraid every time that I will soon have the entire mount in my hand...

Best regards,

Dirk

Since we still need a vacuum cleaner for our current apartment, I just came across these cordless vacuum cleaners. I always think by now it shouldn’t be a problem for vacuum cleaners either, since there are cordless rotary hammers and so on with powerful batteries. For the future house, we have also been recommended a central vacuum system with a station in the utility room. But I am not convinced about that yet.
