The granny flat will not exist anyway. But thanks for the additional info about the window, I will point out all the errors to the energy consultant. We would have had a total of 4 parking spaces through the double garage. Or is that also not sufficient again?

Good morning, I couldn't quickly find here how it is sketched in your plan. Often, a trapped parking space is not accepted. So if you only have a double garage with some space in front, it is possible that the municipality does not find that sufficient. But that should be stated in your development plan.

Overall, I have the impression that your general contractor unfortunately made quite a mess regarding the granny flat.

But try (perhaps with a lawyer?) to work out your options and, above all, define your goal. Do you want to cancel completely? Do you want to build and if so, with whom? What options does the bank offer?

Thanks, I then also found the point about the trapped parking space. Unfortunately, I don’t have the development plan at hand right now and cannot look it up. But I also immediately included this point in my email to the energy consultant.

For us, it is clear that we will not continue building with this general contractor. Too many mistakes have already been made and he is also more than uncooperative. In our conversation yesterday about the price increase, he casually said that there is still no contract and therefore prices can still be adjusted. Well, if that is the case, then we can just cancel the nonexistent contract and that’s that. I will inform him of this today and if he reacts rudely again, I will proceed with a lawyer.

We are also talking to the bank today to clarify what options we have.

Otherwise, we will have to consider whether to continue with another general contractor and replan or switch to a condominium.
