I’m afraid that’s not possible.... Your financing is based on a design. If you now build something completely different, and one storey is something completely different, you don’t fulfill your contractual agreement and the bank would be entitled to terminate for damages.... Alternatively, you negotiate with the bank afterwards – then you won’t have the good conditions anymore... GD

Just to clarify the topic. We have meanwhile also spoken with KfW, and there are no requirements from their side regarding ceiling height, window area, or similar.

Our planning would be completely sufficient to receive the funding. So our energy consultant was right.

This info is for all the self-proclaimed energy experts here ;)

The KfW is also concerned with energy efficiency, not building regulations. But maybe that also depends on the state....
