Of course, I understand! I would also reveal the name privately at any time. I just don't know the legal situation regarding whether one can name a company here and clearly not recommend it.

These days someone here in the forum wrote something about Polish home construction companies that apparently have capacities available faster…. Maybe something like that is an option….

So cheaper than canceling and then signing a new contract...

That is of course cheap and I also think not sustainable... We and also friends’ couples were quoted amounts of €3000/sqm for the foundation slab and €3400/sqm for the basement... but including floors, painting, etc...

Do you have any other companies you currently wanted to go to?

Yes, the question is whether to build now with the general contractor and factor in price increases or to look for a new general contractor who will build next year and immediately ask for 1000€/sqm more?
We had contact with another construction company that friends are building with; he just said this year is no longer possible, he cannot maintain the price of our general contractor in the slightest and he also cannot give us a fixed price guarantee. So a similar mess, just delayed in time.

There is actually a separate subforum for this, which is moderated, I believe. Many new builders search on Google for "Company XY experiences," especially with smaller regional companies it would be nice to find more here.
