Those were the days, unimaginable. And today, not even signing an offer is enough.

No, she is finished by now, right? I’m talking about January, when the kfw funding was discontinued.

That sounds like a good alternative.
However, building with a reasonable general contractor is also demanding but not such a drama as it seems to you now. It’s just that everything has come together for you now and has thrown you into a panic. That’s why I meant first to calmly gather your thoughts and consider.

That definitely caused me to panic. Not to mention the tense market situation.

I think everyone has to make the decision that seems best for them individually. Engaging in a years-long legal dispute can cost a lot of energy, money, and joy of life. In my opinion, losing a few thousand euros is not so bad. Some door will open eventually. If not now, then in the coming years.

You know what I think is great? That after your first unpleasant experiences with the topic of building a house, you already have a bit of energy for/interest in other unfortunate house-building stories again. ;-) If I understood correctly, one of the two semi-detached houses is now ready to move into or has already been occupied. :) In any case, I conclude from what was said earlier that the topic of building a house is not yet completely closed for you, and I hope that the enthusiasm for building a house will return. ;-) You are always warmly welcome here, even if there was a bit of harsh headwind, which you first have to process.
