My parents built their house 10 years ago for 120k. We paid double (built with a budget provider) and have only 10sqm more. I don’t need to elaborate further, do I? I know, people don’t like to hear that (I didn’t want to hear it back then either), but there are a lot of people here who have followed and accompanied countless construction projects. The price estimates are usually quite accurate. You are about 50k short. And nothing is more frustrating than having to do without small details in your own house (an extra socket, the soundproof windows, the fibers in the screed, the baseboards with the tiles, having the silicone joint done everywhere... all that costs extra, small amounts, but really annoying when you have to rework these things yourself or it’s impossible). Or you build significantly smaller. 120sqm and nothing more with dressing room, office, and large children's rooms. Then it’s just tighter. Painting and laying the floor are DIY tasks that don’t need to be mentioned since most people do them themselves anyway. Doors are the only things that would count as DIY work, but you won’t save the world there. Would you do the heating too? Also the piping?
