- How much space do you have in the office behind the door? It looks to me like no cabinet would fit there.
-- There are still 50 cm to the door. Since a filing cabinet usually measures 40-45 cm, this is sufficient.
- I would remove the storage room in the kitchen; the kitchen can be furnished much better without it. I dare say that you can fit less in this small storage room than if you fully equip the upper kitchen wall with tall cabinets ;)
--That with the kitchen, well, that's a thing with my wife... She needs it... so she should have it... :D (this is not the original kitchen plan from the kitchen builder)
- What do you hope to achieve with the bay window? I understand the wish for a bit of segmentation/structure in the living/dining area, but the 50 cm deep "food nipple" doesn't really fulfill that. Don't take it badly, but for me, it's neither fish nor fowl.
---Because it has a "relaxing" effect for us.
- Why such a large window in the WC?
--Good question, we will probably reconsider that.
- I would probably swap the entrance and the WC; the paths are unnecessarily long with the current layout. If I look at the route from the garage to the kitchen, I would be annoyed every time having to walk that far with the shopping basket.
-Thanks for the hint... sounds logical to me.
Upper floor:
- How is the dressing room supposed to work? The only place for a proper wardrobe is blocked by the window. Moreover, the window is positioned so that no cabinet fits on the upper wall either.
-The dressing room was copied from friends (our knee wall height is 1.50 m). The wardrobes will be custom-made by a carpenter (with a countertop for folding laundry).
- I don't like the access area to the 2 children's rooms. I would straighten the wall in a line with the wall between child 2 and the parents, and remove the 45° angle.
--Straight walls like the 45° angle, we find TOP!
- Is the master bedroom really supposed to be furnished like that? It is possible, but I believe it will be quite cramped due to the large circulation areas that are inevitably needed.
I can't judge whether the view through the large window justifies it.
--No the bedroom is not to be furnished like that; this was set by the architect.
