Once again, I am bothered by the situation that the central and prominently located room on the upper floor (and the only room without a sloping ceiling) is actually not sufficiently appreciated as a dressing room. For me, a room like a bedroom, children's room, or home office belongs there, no matter what, at least a room that is not used only 2 - 3 times a day for 10 minutes. Presumably, no one enjoys the floor-to-ceiling window in a dressing room, as it is blocked and covered anyway for privacy while changing.

At least more standard wardrobes fit in this way.

I see the bathroom as needing revision, with the bathtub and toilet placed on this side of the 2m line.

Isn't it already drawn that way (?)

I am missing storage space (especially a wardrobe although the hallway area is very large), the utility room is wasted space because of doors. If no basement is planned, where do you want to put your stuff? The walk-in closet seems to get the nicest room on the upper floor. Think about how you will clean the window above the gallery? You can only reach it with scaffolding!

Thank you very much for the initial feedback!

I will revise it again and

[*]remove the door between the utility room and the kitchen. Originally, this was planned to quickly get groceries into the kitchen. Since an entire wall would be lost here, it will be removed again.
[*]we will slightly reduce the hallway and try to optimize the closet space a bit more.
[*]completely redesign the bathroom upstairs and move the bathtub/toilet further into the room so that we are beyond the 2-meter limit.

Yes, the dressing room is the only room without sloping ceilings. Here we see the advantage of the closet area for us. This results in a bit of storage space for daily needs upstairs in comparison. Putting on/taking off clothes usually happens with the shutter closed. During the day, a rowing machine will be used in front of the large window element with a view of the garden.

The rest of the storage space will be in the utility room/garage. The attic will have to serve for everything temporary, like Christmas items.

We are currently still considering whether to add a second gable at the front. Then it would at least no longer be the Velux window to clean, but "merely" a simple window (with a ladder).

I would be happy about further feedback/ideas!

Best regards Matthias

How about some kind of pass-through? That way you can easily get all the small items from the shopping basket into the kitchen and the big stuff like drink crates will probably stay there or in the garage anyway. You can put a storage solution on the wall, for example a shelf with a tier directly at the pass-through. Put things on it, go into the kitchen, open the flap and put things away.

(Velux) window cleaning is overrated :-). The interval of window cleaning at this spot is the real question. At least from the outside, you don’t see a longer interval with Velux, and from the inside the dirt is noticed later than on other windows. Whether you clean a roof window or a normal window with a ladder 4-12 times a year (depending on demands) makes no big difference. I would not build a gable for that alone.

Topic garage and parking space in front: Think about garage doors that can also be opened if a car is parked directly in front (e.g. sectional door).
6m is OK as long as your cars are not longer than 5.5m. If a motorhome is planned at some point, 6m is too short.
