If there is something almost all users here rightly agree on, it is that with these house sizes a straight staircase simply does not (work well). However, that seems to be the dogma here; the answers to the criticism at least suggest this. I would have also liked a straight staircase at home, but even with 11x9 it hardly works or at least it definitely does not look as desired... so I see only one of two parameters working here: 9x9 OR straight staircase

Whether the kitchen has to be near the front door now is a matter of taste. Ours is miles away too. But yes, your staircase is awkward and inconveniently shaped. Give the staircase a bend and you’ll have more options. My parents built a 120sqm house, with the staircase right at the entrance, bent after 4 steps. That way nothing gets in the way and they got a "round" hallway where guests can be properly welcomed.

No, rather a strong majority of the "regular users" - among newcomers the single-flight straight staircase ranks first among the teeth to be pulled (and its damage potential is underestimated similarly to the symmetry worship).

I am happy to be proven wrong, but I have tried a lot with spiral staircases and have not found a better solution with the same building volume and number of rooms. Then please show me better floor plans. In addition, the straight staircase still gives me a storage room.
