Number of network sockets; how to plan Wi-Fi in the new building?

I would never place an access point so centrally purely for aesthetic reasons and then even have it light up. And connecting the access point directly to the cable is annoying because 1) patch cables are rigid and inconvenient for connecting devices and 2) once disconnected, it's disconnected. Forget about Mesh for once. It has no place in new buildings. Cable>Mesh>Repeater

but? Of course as a supplement to wiring.

Connect access points with cables, not mesh. As described here several times already.
With mesh, you can then extend your WLAN, better than with repeaters, if the remote access point is not reachable by cable. That’s what it’s good for.

Then we are talking past each other. Of course, each access point connects to the network itself, but together they form a common mesh WLAN.

Your other variant I only know as a repeater.

No, they do not. Mesh is something different. If every access point is connected by cable, each access point sets up its own WiFi. The traffic runs through the respective cable.

now you're being petty. Of course everyone sets up their own network, but those are not visible to the user.

But then explain the difference, maybe I just remembered it wrong.
