I like it better. I would have flipped the top floor so the kids get the southwest, but then the stairs would be awkward again.

I can't judge the objection about the sound system, whether/what is true about it.

Can you explain that? As far as I know with sound systems, speakers are usually placed behind the sofa. In that respect, it would actually be an advantage if there is a wall or stairs there.

I don’t know the details about it, but my boyfriend says he has to install two smaller speakers about 1 m behind the sofa. Apparently, he can’t put them directly on a wall behind the sofa (please don’t ask me why). But he is an acoustics engineer at Teufel and is actually very uncompromising about it. It’s kind of his big thing, so to speak.
