Painting and coating a new building is very time-consuming if you want a neat result. The steps are: Fill all drywall surfaces with filler, using [Antirissband]. Usually, three filler applications with intermediate sanding are required. Sand walls to remove sinter. Fill, fine sanding. Fill window sills, apply acrylic joints to the reveal on top. For drywall ceilings, it is advisable to glue a stucco strip at the corner transition to the wall, which later definitely covers cracks that will form there. Apply primer to all plaster surfaces. Apply acrylic joint to door frames. Now roll walls and ceilings twice. Mask windows and other items well and cleanly. Protect tiled floors well. Non-tiled floors are now treated with leveling compound. Vacuum well beforehand. Sand and vacuum leveling compound. Now glue floors. Install baseboards. Seal joints at stairs or door thresholds with [MSPolymer] or silicone. In our case, bathrooms and kitchen were additionally covered with fiberglass instead of painting, and the fiber was painted with latex. 108 sqm bungalow, 100 hours. For everything. K.

If she considers all that as "painting," then it may fit depending on the work pace. That was exactly the question.

That is certainly a matter of quantity. We did all the electrical work ourselves – the electrician only connected the meter. I can’t really remember exactly, but I would say the electrical work took about 2.5 weeks and the painting about 1.5 weeks. A lot of time also goes into planning and organization. Since we still lived 50 km away from the construction site, the commute also took time. You also have to factor in that the other trades (plasterers) need to be finished before you can continue. Moving everything back and forth also takes time.

Yes, painting from Q2, although in drywall construction sometimes filling and sanding was also done.

And even concrete ceilings are not ready to paint smoothly, but must be plastered, unless everything is meant to be raw industrial.

That is really very optimistic.
Do you really believe that your helpers always have 10 hours available for you on weekends?
And that you actually spend 10 hours there on each of your vacation days?
