Read the posts before... Kaho said that with 6 helpers they needed their entire annual vacation and several weekends. I just roughly calculated how many working hours that could be.

But yes, IF I take vacation to build, then I am on the construction site until open end. If it makes noise, as long as I’m allowed, if it doesn’t make noise, as long as I can.

The client also has two children, so it is simply impossible to spend the entire vacation on the construction site. At least two weeks are needed elsewhere. In any case, no childcare facility I know of is open 250 days a year.

That’s nonsense. Even with the greatest motivation, no one works 10 hours straight. Especially unfamiliar tasks are exhausting, need practice, and require breaks. Hang a blanket overhead 3 times. I’ll time how long it takes until you say "uff" for the first time.

The risk of injury is also absolutely not to be underestimated. What if the father-in-law or boyfriend misses the 2 crucial weeks here? The high workload also leads to more illnesses. Not infrequently, it’s exactly the owner who then collapses and lies in bed with "Corona."

But I don’t want to be pessimistic. The plot is bought – now we can only think forward. So let’s all hope for the best for the OP.

So, where do you live? My husband has 26 days a year, with Christmas and New Year's Eve off. I am self-employed and basically never have time off. The days we melt butter in the sun when building.

Not of the draft, but of the lay planner’s draft-learning process. The floor plan is the most intensely experienced part of planning, just as the shell construction is experienced as the most shape-defining section. The knowledge of later being a resident as a co-planner puts a lot of weight on the emotional level. But that varies individually: the type of co-planner-owner who puts their heart and soul into selecting the heating technology then fusses a bit less over floor plan details.

Then go ahead and draw the extension interface(s) into the design.

Lazy sloths. Having Christmas or New Year’s Eve off must be enough.

It just is what it is, and there are plenty of employment situations (also in Leipzig) where 40-50 days of vacation are no big deal. If you go through the trouble of being self-employed, you should also be able to fit in 30-40 days (if you want to).
