KfW Funding Climate-Friendly Residential Building from March 2023

Thank you, Lotte. We will sign the contract for work in the near future, but include kfw 300 as a suspensive condition. I made a lot of calls today, construction company, kfw, bank. I am now familiar with how it will proceed: sign the contract with condition, receive confirmation of the application (BZA) and the notary draft (both now also initiated), so that financing can be applied for, as soon as approval is received notarization.

Do you have that in writing from KfW that you will still receive the funding that way?

Yes, initial delivery and service contracts or the purchase contract (for the first purchase) can also be concluded before submitting the application under the conditions listed below.
Exception rule for delivery and service contracts
For delivery and service contracts, you have two options:
1. documented consultation
Have you documented your financing consultation with a KfW form? Then you can subsequently conclude initial delivery and service contracts. However, construction may only begin after the application has been submitted.
2. suspensive or resolutive condition
Have you agreed on a suspensive or resolutive condition? Then you can conclude delivery and service contracts before submitting the application. However, construction may only begin after the application has been submitted.
Please note: The amendment of delivery and service contracts by subsequently adding a suspensive or resolutive condition is not permitted.

Be careful with the suspensive or resolutory conditions. If the program is suddenly discontinued, this also gives the construction company the opportunity not to build if that is currently approved (otherwise, of course, one would offer to conclude the contract again ;) ). This backfired on some people almost two years ago.

The development bank KfW no longer accepts applications for four residential and construction funding programs. It is thus drawing consequences from the federal government's budget freeze.

More programs could follow.

Completely unexpectedly, the investment support program for agriculture was ended today. Not just stopped.

Currently, I would assume that pretty much all funding programs will be stopped. For the coming years.

Funding for heating system replacement is also no longer available, nor is it for municipal heat planning.

The government has been caught up by reality!

It seems to look as if "simply" new debts are to be made (keyword emergency).

What bothers me about this is that years ago, the VAT was increased by 3% contrary to previous promises to solve the debt problem (so that our children and grandchildren at least have a somewhat intact financial scope), and now nothing has been solved at all.
