Extension of deadline for KFW grant variant

I came across the post because we currently have the same problem. We will not be finished by next July.
I would like to know if the extension worked? And with what justification? :)

Basically, that is not a problem. Just justify it with a normal reason – delay with craftsmen, supply bottleneck, or similar.

I myself still have the old subsidy variant 430 running. I also applied for and received an extension there with the aforementioned reasons. What really becomes important is how long the subsidy funds are actually held in the federal budget. The 430 funds (program expired 06/2021) are only available until 30.07.2024. Then a final deadline is actually reached. However, I do not know how long the 461 funds will be held.

Yes, the KfW provides the appropriate feedback. Either directly a general extension by one year or, if applicable, the information that the funds are only available until 30.04.2024, for example (maybe they are planned until 2027 and you only get the extension, but then of course not the information for 2027).

a customer of mine has a similar problem. The renovation in program 430 took a very long time and they had to wait for the last invoices. Now everything is there and the final confirmations in programs 430 and 431 have also been issued. But the customer missed the deadline to complete the identification in the subsidy portal. Now he wants to initiate the subsidy payment and his ID card has expired. The video chat procedure does not work like that. The Post-Ident procedure takes too long anyway and only works with a valid ID card. Tomorrow is Thursday and Saturday is the last day of the approval period. In addition, the subsidy portal will not be accessible on Saturday due to maintenance work. Can the subsidies 430 and 431 be extended by email or does it have to be a letter? Would the matter with the ID be accepted as a reason or should one also point out the long construction phase due to material shortages? What if the email is only read after a few days, if it is allowed? Should one travel to a branch office to submit the extension requests in person? Such a mess, all just because of an invalid ID card.

Our city administration has a handful of "out-of-turn appointments" daily at the citizens’ office for urgent notary/bank or travel matters. However, I do not know if the video ID procedure also works with a temporary ID card. Could that possibly be a solution to carry out the procedure tomorrow? I had a similar problem with a name change right in the middle of a loan application/payment and the notary/land registry matters... They accepted the temporary ID card. Maybe can say something about this? :)

Thank you LotteS, as far as I know, the video procedure of the KfW is also operated by the Post and they require a valid ID card or passport with security features. Unfortunately, a temporary ID card probably won't be accepted. Now we have the problem that time is running out and the extension somehow needs to be ensured.
