We are currently insulating ourselves under the screed and wanted to incorporate a layer of Puren (about 2cm WLG 023) on the ground floor instead of the required 12cm 035 insulation. If we hadn't shifted other parameters, that wouldn't have worked because these 2cm of Puren would have otherwise messed up the LCA. If your general contractor works according to the specifications of the EB, everything is fine. If you do a lot yourself and want to change something in the process because you learn a lot along the way, then you should be careful.

Yes okay, I will only have to take care of the floor and wall coverings from now on. But even in your case, no one would have ever found out - without QNG you no longer have to provide proofs or have anything certified. No one will break up your screed anymore :) I will still ask the accompanying consultant again to see if I need to pay attention to anything.

You have to keep an eye on the LCA if you change anything. Unfortunately, we had to install 12cm XPS insulation under the floor slab instead of the planned 30cm glass foam gravel, but luckily we still have enough "reserve" to use even "worse" components. Flooring also counts in the LCA due to the large area. Our energy consultant said that for self-performed work (like the insulation of the floor slab now), you have to keep the delivery notes in case there is ever an inspection by the KfW. No one will chip up the screed, but you should be able to prove that you at least purchased the specified material to then install it.

Unfortunately, I can't like right now, but is right. If the KfW audits you as part of the random checks, you should be able to prove what has been installed... :)

Well, what was submitted, what else ;-)

I don't even know what was counted as floor covering in the calculation... the confirmation of application (BZA) document doesn't say anything about it.

Our energy consultant asked me some time after the confirmation of the application (BZA) what we wanted to install, maybe it's because the flooring doesn't matter for energy efficiency and is only considered in the LCA. Fortunately, our Parador Modular One has its own entry in the Ökobaudat and we didn't have to use the worse value for some standard vinyl.
