And I also think that you can’t finance a car below 400€/month. Even with your Kona, the electricity costs and tire costs still come on top.

But everything always has to be questioned.

So here is the complete calculation for our Kona. Leasing runs over 4 years.

Leasing rate: €250 (we already looked at the car a year earlier, then we could have gotten it for €160. If only we had known that earlier :p )
Taxes: €0
Insurance: €29.73 (€356.68 per year)
Inspection: €12.50 (that's €150 per year, the first inspection just cost exactly €100. But I prefer to calculate a bit more because after 3 years a major inspection of the battery has to be done)
Electricity costs: €30 (I’m calculating €50, but for me the electricity comes from the roof)
Tire costs: €0 (since the vehicle is delivered with summer tires, but I have been driving only with all-season tires for years, I negotiated a set of all-season tires at contract signing. So the vehicle was handed over to me with all-season tires and the factory-mounted summer tires are now in the garage. Before returning the vehicle, the summer tires will be mounted, so no further costs are expected here)
Brakes: €0 (thanks to recuperation brakes on an electric vehicle often last 120,000 km or more. So they should also not be due at return)

That adds up to about €342.23 per month. If we had signed the lease a year earlier, we would have been €90 cheaper.

Did I forget anything else?

Would it perhaps be nice to discuss that elsewhere out of consideration for the thread creator?

Sorry. That is of course true. The last 10 pages no longer had anything to do with the actual question. Perhaps the thread creator could still speak up again to say whether the reassurances on the first pages have contributed a little to calming down after all?!

You are someone who obviously doesn't like to consider other viewpoints. Ok—let me just say one more thing: the 340 euros per month are possible because:
A) you can afford a photovoltaic system costing several tens of thousands of euros, and
B) the Kona includes 9,000 euros in subsidies from taxpayer money.

Anyone else who can't get a leasing contract and can't afford a photovoltaic system won't come to 340 euros—that's the absolute minimum and, as mentioned, only possible because of A) and B)

and now you can feel free to write back against this. I write:
My car costs me nothing at all, because I got it as a gift and my grandma pays the maintenance costs. Over and out

I am very open to other viewpoints and always appreciate other opinions and respect them as well. I have never claimed that cases like the ones you describe do not exist. I have only tried to refute your statement and now also Marvinius' statement that you cannot operate a vehicle for under 400-500€ per month. Of course, certain conditions have to be met for this, which do not apply to everyone, and I have never denied that either. I am simply not a fan of such sweeping statements. As you nicely described with your last sentence, it is possible to operate a vehicle completely without costs (for oneself :p) under certain conditions;) And now, let’s gladly continue the discussion on this topic in my thread about [Photovoltaic system], [storage], and so on. I think it fits better there.
