Although, to be honest, I generally don't find chain-link fences very attractive and therefore understand municipalities that still accept chain-link as a side boundary between two properties but not on the street side because of the appearance. Just like the regulations on maximum height facing the street, etc. There are a few pictures (recently also some construction show on TV), where even 180 cm high opaque fences facing the street were not ruled out. It's not a pleasant sight when you walk down such a street.

I have, just for you :-) , checked again. The enclosure is regulated by the village’s design statute. Here is the excerpt on this:

… whereas here, however, it is not interested in what is stated in your statutes, but maybe the TE should rather be asked what she must, should, or may do ;)

I agree with you on the latter, the former I think is a matter of taste. I find chain-link fences more attractive than welded wire mesh fences, preferably with those plastic strips.

Well, at least OP now knows where she can/must check ;)

... with the welded wire fences I’m exactly with you, in my personal rating they are equivalent to chain-link fences, for me they are "solid chain-link fences" ;)
