So after all the car discussions, I switched off a bit. The assessment from others really did me good. Nevertheless, I have a lot of respect for the future and the mammoth task of building a house. In the future, we will simply have to be very restrictive when it comes to spontaneous expenses because I would like to build up the rental income (if we manage to rent out the apartment) as a buffer. We have to say goodbye to our previously carefree life. That is hard for me. Now we have to learn to think about our expenses. That was not the case before and it is a cut. I also hope that our calculation works out and no surprising cost explosions appear that break our neck. I will still try to reduce the fixed costs further. Our car is relatively expensive (SUV Diesel). Maybe we will lease a station wagon petrol car and pay less per month. And we can surely reduce something on the insurance as well.. I look forward to sitting in our living room next year with my husband and him saying: "You see, I told you we could do it!" I hope so much!
