House construction too expensive - Stop building?

A few points, e.g. electricity, are already very tight. But doable for simple equipment or possibly with some own effort.

With self-made paving and chain-link fence as well as a simple gate, you can already do something with the 7k...

I don't know how far you can/may do the driveway yourself. There are regulations and a warranty on the execution is not unimportant. In my case, the driveway leads to a state road. And here at least, none was self-made and the 7k is already gone for that.

So, no one needs a fence for now. Garage neither. The latter is planned and can also be realized later. Painting work also offers potential to do it yourself. What are the notary fees? There shouldn't be anything left open?! At least not 7500?

With us, everyone also paves their own driveway. Of course, everything has its tricks. Setting curbstones, stretching strings, paying attention to slope and water drainage... a layperson can't just do that themselves. But with guidance from people who know about it, it works. And there are usually some in every circle of acquaintances; if not, YouTube helps ;)

Everyone around here outsources it, even if they are craftsmen. That's why I assume that a professional has to be involved in the connection to a country road. But I could be wrong :-)
