But I did provide the calculation. And showed that the statement of "at least 400-500€ per month" is not universally valid. At 500€ per month, you're at 6,000€ per year. In 10 years, that's 60,000€!! I would now claim that the majority spends a lot less on their car.

As a second car, we currently have a Hyundai Kona Electric on lease. That costs me about 300€ per month over the 4-year term (including insurance and maintenance). But that's also a new car worth over 40,000€.

The Insignia estate before that cost me around 500€ per month in hindsight. But only because after 4 years it was basically done due to an engine failure. Otherwise, even that wouldn't have cost that much if I had driven it for 10 years.

It is not wrong, because my calculation is a mixed calculation. It is a different approach. Of course, in the end the money goes to the car, but I don’t have the compulsion to save a fixed amount X every month. So if a vacation is coming up, I don’t necessarily have to set aside the sum that month, but rather compensate for it afterwards or, better, beforehand. Both work, depending on how consistent you are. I also have fixed “saving pots” for, e.g., insurances that are paid annually. But we’re not talking about 300€ a month for depreciation and new acquisition here, and these saving pots are also “untouchable.”

A general savings rate is the rule. I don't want to save 2 euros per month for a new dryer either. Everything like that must be able to be paid from current income and the general savings rate. Only the car is somewhat separate, that is the only thing that costs five digits.

No, it runs on electricity from the roof. Were the fuel costs already included in your 500€? Then just add a generous 30€ electricity cost per month. Even then, I'm still far from your 500€. And what do you mean by return damages? If the vehicle is not damaged, you don't have to pay anything :p

I hear you’re leasing for the first time  and the photovoltaic system was free, right xD oh man. It’s hard to argue on such a basis.
