One should not overestimate the value of such forums, that is important to emphasize. Even if only experts were responding here, it remains a view from afar, where you at best know 10% of the surrounding circumstances... and you also only hear one perspective, namely that of the client, who is usually a layperson. In the car forum, for the question "My engine in the Golf VI is broken, mileage 150,000 km... is it worth replacing?" you can only give opinions, but no expertise, because dozens of pieces of information about the rest of the vehicle are missing.

And egocentrism aside. It is also important to have such "Dödel" around, who blindly stumble into every trap there is and in the end may really have paid 200,000 EUR... because one thing is unfortunately certain: When the shell is standing, one has the GU or any other trade in hand. Because they all operate under the motto "He has already invested so much, he won’t back out, I can practically wring any price out of him..."

We do it the same way... when we know the customer (industry) can only choose us, then the price battle begins...

Embarrassing, embarrassing to brag about something like that…

WOW :)
Actually, I should be working but this thread caught my attention -> "Hausbau zu teuer - Bau Stoppen?"

I was already thinking "oh bad luck for the OP - what happened there" and then I read all this:
a tiny installment in today’s time for a house. An above-average income. Family in the background, land on family grounds, shell construction is up, a condominium with another 500€ income... and then, sorry for the wording, people here are whining and spreading the worst panic as if they just hit the subsistence level?!

That sounds to me very much like "I somehow need attention." It can't be explained rationally. In the further posts it comes out: living in the countryside (which is cheaper anyway than in the city), neighbors who can help with, for example, an excavator, father and husband are handy.
Sorry again for the harsh wording. But I was sitting here reading and thinking how ridiculous this is...

But everything can be topped :D Then comes the internet troll claiming a low income :D And that’s not enough. Then come the fantasy numbers :D Just randomly 50,000€ more here. The painter suddenly costs 25,000€ more. The garden suddenly wants 30,000€ more, quick as a flash. And because I didn’t know beforehand that 4000€ faucets aren’t included in the house price, the fittings suddenly cost 80,000€ more. :D :D :D

In the end the planned 500,000€ unfortunately costs 1.25 million. It happens, I would be careful :D

Amazing :)

Why? Spontaneously, I wouldn’t know (apart from housing costs, which probably weren’t meant, since that was already discussed before) why living in the countryside is cheaper? You have to drive a car all the time, there is less competition for various things, so sometimes higher prices can be charged, unless you want to drive even further again, etc.
I would be interested in what this assumption is based on.

Well, that's how it looks from the outside. But please don't forget that real panic attacks were involved here and at least some medical help is being sought. In a family in my circle there were also always the advices "Don't make such a fuss," "do this and that," because everything seemed rational and solvable. But the depression was already so severe that the mother of three elementary school children was admitted to a closed psychiatric ward. As much as we like to give wise advice here, the true situation cannot be seen over the internet. However, warning signs can be recognized.

But that's the difference between "objective" and "subjective." It's bad for someone when it is a catastrophe from a subjective point of view. I'm sorry, too. Only professional help can defuse the situation. But objectively, is right after all.
