Gradually I suspect how many misunderstandings arise here in the thread from my point of view. It may be due to associations that are as different as the forum members here. We do not have and do not want a wellness bathroom. I imagine something quite different under that, which would move financially in unattainable dimensions. It is merely a sauna. Whether and where we place a lounge chair, we will still decide. The view goes through one of the three windows to the sky or the forest. Initially, I also wished for floor-to-ceiling windows all around in the upper floor (I would have preferred ceiling-high), but I canceled them, among other things, due to suggestions from here in the forum. A washing machine in a nice cabinet would not bother me since it will not run during a sauna session.

No, definitely not elegant: rather sturdy and overall just shy of €200,000. Whatever.. I suppose you don't know what planning means. Drawing in three walls or carving out some space is no art, nor anything exhausting where you have to say it drains or takes energy or such. It's also nothing that you first label with terms like bamboo or similar. Knots in heads can also be untangled by yourself. Even that flower, leaf carport story has nothing to do with house construction. Nor with focus. But that must be set. You should really consider whether you are getting more and more bogged down in unimportant details instead of dealing with the important things (i.e. fundamentals).

Three-phase power in the bathroom? A CEE32?

If I understood correctly, a three-phase power connection is required for a good sauna. Since my husband has training as an electrical technician and then studied electrical engineering, I assume it is correct. Or is something like that, based on your knowledge, prohibited or dangerous? Maybe I have also confused something.

I don’t shed any tears over the OP’s money. If she has enough of it and no other expensive hobbies besides being a little unreasonable at our age, then she’s allowed to burn a bit of resale value. What I find unfortunate, however, is the apathy with which she lets a ‘it’ll-work-out-somehow’ house rise into the sky. That understandably frustrates those who are otherwise used to helping here to make a house special like a wedding. I myself live in a beautiful holiday area, but I wouldn’t come up with the idea of saying that should be enough and the house can be quite indifferent (but flanked by flower carports, understand the contradiction if you can).

The thing with the investment and increase in value referred to their justification for why, for example, it then doesn’t remain the rental apartment in which they also feel comfortable.

Otherwise, I absolutely agree with you.
