We will move to a ground-floor apartment with a small garden in "advanced age," to a bungalow or to assisted living. By the way, aging is not a taboo for me. I prefer aging to the alternative.

Based on the photo in the thread with your explanation, I came to 30 degrees because I like the roof with 30 degrees in the photo better than the one with 22 degrees. For our house, it has now become a pointed hat, which really does not look good. What did I do wrong?

Yes, I can still change it. Also the roof shape.

Hehe, I somehow find that funny: Usually, we try to discourage the TEs from planning for old age. Here is (finally) a case where it would make sense to design the house for a lifetime, but you don't want that. I don't think the floor plan is wrong, you know what you want and what is important to you, and you plan/build accordingly. I would probably pay a bit more attention to the resale value if you are already planning that. So, for example, don't neglect the kitchen too much. Otherwise, I recommend thinking about the connections in the kitchen and bathroom early on, since it's rather difficult to impossible to change anything there after construction. Maybe the wall between the kitchen and living room should only be drywall and without any pipes if possible, so buyers can easily remove the wall for an open kitchen.

Fortunately, the inventor of mathematics still provided quite (actually infinitely) many numbers between 22 and 30, some of them even natural. At that time, we also faced this question. We ended up with 25 degrees, and we are still satisfied to this day. The roof is flat enough to appear elegant, and pointed enough to be visible from below at all.

What are the house dimensions? Ours are 9.40 x 9.40.
