I will be at the construction site next weekend, then I will take detailed photos. I agree with you. And I’m happy about suggestions for solutions. Some things I have to see first because I lack the imagination. Also, I relied a bit on my husband and the sample coordinator. I have constantly talked about wanting to be able to go out into the garden from every door on the ground floor and maybe make a surrounding terrace. Maybe I should talk more. ;-)

Can't you just set the terrace a bit higher so that it reaches the height of the window exits?

Not quite, I have already been able to credit two-thirds of your lifetime to my lifetime account. There is not much to practice; you either are like you are, or you're not, I would say.

I dare to doubt that, but still I will certainly ask about some things here over time and thus reveal more and more of it.
One should just not stumble over my sometimes changing usernames ;).

There certainly is something to find, because a few unimportant but necessary things for us unfortunately also have to be decided :-)

Very, very gladly...

Thanks! Glad to hear it...

If that’s possible, we will do it. I am considering whether to remove the window sills before the exterior plastering and then find some other solution. As mentioned, I will open another thread with detailed photos about this. If the terrace can be “simply” raised, that would be my favorite option. :)

Good that someone brought the post back up. For such specific questions like the windows, the green one is suitable. Do you want flat thresholds? I wouldn't set the terrace higher than the finished floor inside the house. The execution of the sealing in detail is very important here.

Maybe you look too young and none of the planners considered that you explicitly want a flat-threshold exit (otherwise they would have asked you which of the patio doors should be the exit). From the wish to quickly hop through there one does not automatically deduce that this should also be threshold-free. With a cake tray or laundry basket I also prefer it threshold-free, otherwise I don’t care about lifting my feet, and from a building-technical point of view (water ingress during heavy rain) the solution with a classic window frame as the normal case is obvious. Ideally it is level, what matters is the "water channel" (Bircorinne) in between. And/or you make a slatted floor on the terrace like in a cowshed ;-)
